I bought two sets and installed one of the cable trays on my desk top and installed an extension next to the tray rather than taking up the entire tray with the extension. My desk isn't just one big flat open area at the bottom, it's three different areas (each side and back with a large keyboard drawer center-center front), so I planned to use the back covered area to hide any cables. One tray holds 19 cables, from thin and light speaker and USB cables to thick and heavy power and display cables, straight and coiled. The work table is 7/8" thick and the included screws worked really well after pre-drilling and adding a #10 washer per screw for easy installation. I need to route the cables a little more with velcro and tape. But so far I'm happy with the results and still have an extra spare compartment. A highly recommended product for quickly tossing bundles of randomly tangled cords out of sight or carefully bundling and organizing any cord of your choice.
