I bought this hitch about 2 years ago. I loved this hitch until I did. I have a 40 foot fifth wheel van and the total weight is just under 16,000 pounds. This towbar is said to be worth £24,000. IT IS NOT. I was driving in interstate traffic, so I was only going about 40 mph when I had to stop abruptly. As I did so, I heard a loud bang and a shove, I thought someone had hit me. I pull off the road and see that ANDERSON'S TRAILER HITCH IS BROKEN. After this happened I had the trailer weight and it was 13,202lbs with the load. I contacted Anderson who took several calls. There I was told that the clutch could fail on sudden stops. They only sent me a check for 525.00 when I paid over 700.00. I was so lucky that we weren't hurt and my truck wasn't damaged. I hope people read this review and understand that I don't think this product is safe. Keep in mind it says 24,000 pounds and I only had 13,202 pounds which is half the weight they claim this hitch can carry. RJM
