Review on Bradley Smokers Replacement 2 625 14 5 Inch by Jay Meza

I have had a Bradley OBS for years and although I know others have had issues with this item. I never did. Not before"accident". When removing the pork shoulder, something got out of balance and the device fell on its back. From a three-legged table. on concrete. The door bounced off and fell back against the wardrobe, crushing them both. I quickly unplugged the device and as soon as my shoulder touched the house I went outside to clean up the mess and assess the damage. I was able to put the door back on and when everything was dry I put it back on and amazingly it worked. I used it three more times and on the third use I got a heat rush that prompted me to turn off the thermostat. The element never got hot again. I was very concerned the thermostat was faulty but just in case I ordered a heating element. Installed and everything was like new. Pros: Relatively easy installation. (Pliers or long-nosed pliers will help in hard-to-reach places.) A quick fix. Gets a little warmer than the original. The cost was less than other sellers and certainly less than a new smoker. Cons: I no longer have an excuse to buy an upgraded version of the Bradley.
