My children and I go hiking every week (weather and weather). I originally bought this bag for myself but when it arrived I found that I couldn't fit all of our meals or water in it. I gave the package to my 9 year old and she loves it! She attaches her favorite toy and carries her water bottle. If she wants to pack an extra snack on the trail, she can do that too. I have recommended them to our friends who are traveling with us for a week for their children. Distance but as I'm traveling with a lot of kids I prefer a backpack to carry my first aid kit, snakebite kit and snacks. As for an inferior backpack, I'm not impressed. It is very difficult to clean. But the bag itself is worth it.
