Ok this is a fantastic mount. I looked at almost every swivel TV mount Revain sells before picking this one up. It's a bit more expensive than the competition, but it's worth it. All plates and bars are made from very strong welded steel and seem strong enough for the job. I've hung a 32" TV on it and it handles the load with no problems. The bracket comes pre-assembled so all you have to do is wall mount it and attach it to your TV. I had no trouble installing it, although I also have one brain and has never made this a criteria for buying a tv mount (as other reviews here attest) Poor Hardware (screws, bolts etc at the hardware store and buy $5 worth of real steel hardware and you will be much happier. Get 8 1" lag bolts and washers. You will need them (read on) considering the price These fasteners.. I found that acceptable. Installation tip; This bracket only holds as much as what is attached to it is fixed READ: THIS CANNOT BE MOUNTED ON A DRY WALL then feel embarrassed when it falls off the wall, breaking your TV and crushing the dog. You have an 18" x 12" piece of plywood cut from 1" thick plywood. Paint it the same color as the wall. I used 8 screws you bought at a hardware store. Yes, it takes more work, but getting it right the first time pays off.
