Worked great until static destroyed it

Works great. The 3.5mm headphone jack on my Dell XPS was broken, so I tried a USB adapter. It sounded like crap. I realized that I need signal amplification. So this DAC with built-in amplifier worked great. I would like the treble and bass control to be gradual rather than a 3 position slide switch. Also, I killed him because while sitting in the library, I slipped my feet on the carpet and created a static charge capacity that discharged from my ears. , into my One More Triple Driver headphones and into the DAC. As EVERYONE knows, MOSFETs (the transistors probably used in this DAC) as transconductance devices are very sensitive to current changes (static discharge counters) and I think they killed them. It was also very loud in my ear. So now only the left earbud works when using the DAC (they work fine in other devices so luckily this DAC took the hit instead of my headphones). So my WARNING if you have old shoes with very slippery almost plastic soles or polyester socks DO NOT SLIP ON CARPET WHEN USING THIS DAC. You will most likely kill it if you slide too much or are not properly grounded. If it had been a more expensive DAC that used BJTs (Bipolar Junction Transistors) instead of MOSFETs this wouldn't have happened, but I'm sure they are a lot more expensive than $20.
