I bought this to cut holes in plaster and metal batten ceilings for recessed lighting - and it worked perfectly. Each hole was cut in 20-30 seconds which is way faster than my old method. He even got through the wood paneling behind some of the holes, though not as fast. The hole saw doesn't seem to wear out at all after 8 holes. I was expecting the metal bar to hit something on it, but it cut through with no problem. This is my new method for making holes in plaster.
