I wish I could buy these a half size smaller but I made them up because they were out of stock - I bought 1.5 sizes smaller than the size I need wear in street shoes and they are just a hair too big. However, this is a pretty solid pair of apartments. I've never worn canvas before, but they're much more breathable and flexible than leather - I've worn this pair for a few sessions and they seem to be holding up great. I swear by the split sole and they definitely fit the bill. They don't have an adjustable elastic, which is perfect for me (since I hate having to tie or sew up my shoes), but if you prefer a more customized fit, you might not like this. Ballet pink is pretty neutral - I find some brands have pinks that are too light or too light.
