This is a great tool for me and my dog.

I am fundamentally against stun collars. This is because the vast majority of owners are unaware of the proper methods of training their dogs. I won't go into detail here because anyone can google and find out for themselves. The most important thing to know is that if you don't use it properly, you will create more problems than you can solve. NOT EVERY DOG NEEDS IT! Still, I like this device. I work with my dog every day and reward him for following commands. Negative reinforcement is almost always verbal and is used sparingly. I understand that not all dogs are the same and some can be quite shy, but almost all can be trained if given the time and patience. If you don't have the time and patience, don't get a dog. I have been using this collar for several weeks now and have only used the shock function twice. The beep catches his attention 70% of the time he ignores my verbal command. The vibration function will only be used if it does not immediately respond to a beep. The shock function was only used once when he got too close to moving and once when he started chasing a cat. I am willing to shock him if he behaves aggressively towards the guests as well. Aggressive behavior can cause people to act fearfully, which can provoke further aggression. A situation may arise where a normally gentle dog will be judged vicious and possibly accused of assaulting someone. In many states, this can lead to mandatory euthanasia of the dog. Stopping this behavior is a big step in saving your dog's life. It's only been a few weeks and I've noticed that I'm using the beep and vibration less and less. Thanks to a localized reminder attached to his collar, he's learning to respond to my voice more consistently. The sound and vibration will not cause him any pain or discomfort. They're just a cue to get his attention when he's focused on something else. I highly recommend you put this collar on and try it on before putting it on your dog. Start at the lowest level and work your way up so you understand what you are exposing your dog to. Do this with each person who will be working with the dog. KEEP RUBBER TOPS IF THEY ARE NOT DIRECTLY WITH THE DOG! Settings can be quite intense. As for the device itself, the collar is highly adjustable and fits snugly without the need for constant adjustments. I wish I could take the phone off and put it on its regular choker. My dog has a short coat, I didn't need long teeth. The rubber stoppers are tight and only come loose when I want to remove them. The transmitter is well made and the operation is easy to understand. I would have liked a bit more button tactility as my fingers search for the right button unless I'm looking directly at the device. The usage time between charges is excellent. I've only had to charge it three times in the last month. Charges overnight with no problems, no problems. Read reviews of other similar collars and you'll find instances where they started shocking a dog without activating. This is totally unacceptable! I read the IPX7 reviews carefully and there were no reports of such errors. Better not to work at all than torturing a dog. All in all, if you need some sort of correction device for your dog and you know how to use it properly, then this is a very good choice. My dog is still in the puppy stage and is big enough to cause unwanted reactions in other people and animals and possibly put him in a dangerous situation. My biggest concern is his safety. If your dog is always calm and well-behaved, congratulations, you don't need that. As with all my reviews I will come back to update if my mind changes.
