These are great banana plugs, especially if you need double locking screws on each terminal - with one catch, 8 AWG speaker wire only. I've used really good quality 10AWG oxy-free copper twin wire cable and have found that they work with the 10AWG size as long as you don't have to twist the caps which you would normally add as a last step. Real world testing has shown that in most cases they are so tight that you can't put those red and black screw caps on because they don't fit the set screws - one or both. The wire itself fits, but is so tight that the setscrews extend slightly beyond the snug fit required for the ID covers to slide past the setscrew and screw into place. Now I don't have a real 8AWG wire to test but I'm pretty sure there is absolutely no way to identify (red or black) covers let alone even if you can pick up the wire and screw the screws tighten/ tighten. That being said, similar two set screw banana plugs almost always won't accept more than 10 AWG, and most don't work well - if at all - with 10 AWG wire. It's great value for money, especially when you buy the largest 24-pin set! If you have less than 10 AWG wire, installation is a little easier. (Remember that when using wire gauges, the smaller the number, the larger the wire diameter.)
