I bought this bottle for my son in kindergarten. Much to his disappointment, it won't open. The design of the lid compresses the straw to reduce leakage (I think) but it's clamped so tight that the button to open the lid doesn't work. I used the fork as a lever to open it, but it immediately jammed again. And again. I decided to just use a cap from one of several other Zak bottles we have, but these caps are not exactly the same size. Apparently the 16oz and 18oz bottles use different cap sizes? Frustrated kindergarten child, frustrated mother. I will not buy Zach again.
