Cracked plastic on phone connector

I've been using this charger for less than a month when the plastic and rubber tip that plugs into the phone broke. (see picture) It's not very durable, but it charges my phone well so far. I needed it before I went on vacation to replace a fabric cord charger that stopped working after about two years but had no cracks or visible defects.
