Man what a purchase. This bag is made of thick army canvas. It has a strong metal zipper and is smooth as butter. All seams are tight, even and very well finished. A stiffening element is built into the bottom of the bag. Inside there are two compartments for bags on one side and four small compartments on the other side. Each exterior is fitted with heavy duty military grade snap pockets. Each is split down the middle with two pockets on each side. The handles are shoulder straps and well secured. I bought this bag to store all of my tent pegs, ropes, anchors and paracord in it. It has enough space for many things. The loaded bag measures 12 feet long x 8 inches wide x 8 inches high. It's a damn good deal. I intend to buy 2 more bags for other camping gear. Starting material for fire, tinder, striker, jute, flint, steel and magnifying glass, as well as magnesium shavings. Another for different instruments. Buy it. You will thank me.
