In short. First order had some wood rot in the middle of the board, leaking after washing, called customer service, they did a great job replacing the board with no problems until 2 weeks ago suddenly a huge crack formed right where the handle is and through the middle . The disks are now unusable. (Bacteria can accumulate in cracks). I received an email from customer service saying they are having trouble with refunds because they have already exchanged bored ones. Your customer service is very good, but I'm still missing $80 for a board. I just politely told them I was returning a board that was already on its way to get a refund and buy elsewhere. See photos. There are also similar 1 star reviews about cracks in the same area. This used to be called the Hudson Board and for some reason it was discontinued. Updated: 05/17/2020, 10:54 am. I have very good above average customer service and I have accepted a replacement board. I just hope the new board doesn't crack within 6 months and I tend to the board I received had a defect because there is no way to use a teak board that thick and it is very well maintained / oiled . The oil just ripped down the middle, but that's what happened to me. I'm very thankful for a new board, but usually when I'm spending that much money on a cutting board I expect it to last at least 2 years. I'll keep you posted to see if you get a new board and if everything goes well. Update I received a replacement board a few days ago and updated my review without knowing why it wasn't published. Received the board in perfect condition along with a very kind message from Tiffany and they really care about their customers. The replacement board I have is now called Laurel. I've oiled the board and it looks the same as the old one, just a little darker in color. The note said they had improved their manufacturing techniques and shouldn't have any problems with this board. I noticed that the new board weighs 30% less than the old one. Let's hope these are good. Will keep this updated for any issues that may arise in the future.
