This "mountain horse hair" brush is very good. For landscapes (rocks, mountains) you need a brush with hard, hard bristles, like from a horse's mane and tail. A mix of those with slightly softer bristles is ideal. This brush is soft rather than hard, but stiff enough and springy enough to create some landscape elements. If I was a more experienced artist, everything would probably have worked out. I got a Bergross hairbrush from another supplier which is absolutely perfect and which I now use more than this one.
