I've worked in the computer industry for most of my adult life. One of the most common things clients ask me to do is move data from an old hard drive or computer to a new one. In the store I can upload everything to the internet, on site I use a portable drive to copy everything. Devices like this allow me to take a hard drive out of an old, dead computer and plug it into a new one, saving me valuable time. What many people don't realize is that shops calculate the time it takes to complete a task, not the time. Technique spends on it. It can take up to two hours for your data to be transferred, but a technician only works on it for a few minutes. Most of the time, the transmission happens on its own. Simply put, the technology can charge multiple people for the same block of time. The average technician is expected to pay more than eight hours for an eight-hour shift. On average, I usually charge between 15 and 20 hours per shift. Remember that you are paying for the time spent on the computer, for a specific time or for the time spent on the best technology. Unfortunately, the company's technicians are paid for the hours they work, not the hours they bill. Anyone with a little knowledge can use this device for their own data transfer and save a lot of money. I carry at least one of these with me wherever I go, just in case. I bought this unit to replace an old unit that had failed on mine.
