I like it when new parts are put in my cars. So I replace old stuff. In this case I was trying to replace the regulator on my Mustang. Big mistake. Stranded me, couldn't build up the pressure properly. Start the car once, drive anywhere and it starts again. Did a few more tests at home. It seems that starting the car once takes a good hour. at this hour it will no longer work. Replaced the controller with the original and the problem was gone. Car always starts, no problems. I'm just glad it didn't break and shoot fuel up my EGR valve when that has happened on another Mustang. Naturally. Bought the original fuel pressure regulator. But you can get lucky and it will last you a year or so. I had no luck. twice. Never.
