Review on πŸ”§ Proforged 106-10101 Center Link: Optimize Steering Performance with High-Quality Replacement by Will Lockhart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great on a 1965 Mustang with a V8 manual transmission

1965 Mustangs have different tie rods depending on the engine and whether it is power steering or manual. When converting a 1965 six-cylinder Mustang to disc brakes and five studs, it is common to replace all six-cylinder steering with V8 steering. I want to put grease fittings on US made Moog parts, but I couldn't find a Moog center link for this machine. I couldn't find a center link with a grease fitting other than one from Rare Parts which is double or triple the price depending on where you buy it. I was very disappointed when I was given a rare parts link to see that it no longer has grease fittings even though most sites have one. Without the oiler, I see no point in spending more on it. The rare parts link was made in Taiwan as was the proforged link I received. Even though they were both made in Taiwan, they looked different as if they were made in different factories. Both parts were high quality, but the Proforged was significantly cheaper and fitted perfectly.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
