It seemed to lift up very easily and wouldn't latch onto the wall mount at first and then it seemed to latch very well but we couldn't get it back off and it does designed to move. Whatever we lift, move or switch (part B1) will not come off. We installed it outside on the deck thinking we could use it while sitting there and take it with us and use it in the lobby but now it has to stay outside in bad weather. Not happy with it at all! We had to drill a hole in the top of the gate cover near the wall (part B1) to put something in to push the inside latch to eventually open it. Once we did that we lengthened the screw holes on the top bracket that was attached to the wall (A1) so we could move it up and down and through trial and error we managed to loosen it easily. From the looks of it, this should be very easy. You don't have to press where the fabric is folded to snap it into place. The latch inside the wall mounted gate has less than an eighth of an inch play. In the end, all we had to do was move the wall mount (A1) away from the template, maybe a sixteenth of an inch. With that soft plastic on the latch, it will wear out over time if moved too often.
