I received an SD card low speed error on my new dash cam after running it for a few minutes. I tried downgrading the DVR from 1080p to 720p and at first thought it was the DVR as I just replaced it. Well after some research I decided to test the SD card in my laptop. Initially, the speed was 18 MB/s, and then slowly began to drop to 2 MB/s. Again, I initially thought the card still had video and was almost full, with SD cards slowing down as they approach full capacity. So I formatted the drive and ran the test again and the same problem occurred after a few minutes, the speed dropped to a slightly higher 4MB/s which is still not acceptable for a U1 SD card but it is long time ago and I can no longer return the card. and the only reason the previous dash cam didn't have any issues is that it ran at a much lower data rate than my new one.
