I bought two packs of these and while they are pretty sturdy on the outside I was a bit worried about the water resistance at first glance, especially as I live in beautiful Washington State where it rains more than sunny lol. My solution, of course DISASSEMBLY! :) so after further research it was clear to me that the impregnation would not be sufficient, at least for my purposes - no problem! I took a tube of clear RTV silicone and started lubricating all the seams, screws, knobs and even the board itself and any places where water could get in (I did it all from the inside). Item, FYI, that way it's much more tightly sealed and still looks from the outside) After I was done I reassembled and tested it and it works great! I'm happy to report that it's now fairly waterproof (even if fully submerged to 1ft! Although I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this while it's plugged in! I certainly haven't and certainly won't Just a review, that's all!) All in all I think it's an amazing product that has certainly gotten even better! And I'm sure that by doing so I immediately voided any warranty, but I don't care, the product worked before and works even better now. Please note that if you attempt to do something like this yourself, you do so at your own risk. ! I am not responsible for what you do with your products, I only review mine and explain the changes needed to make them fit MY needs. Have a nice day! Hooray!
