Water-resistant Assistant MP22W for Improved Compatibility Review

Bought for outdoor Christmas lights. Setup was easy. I checked during the day and everything worked. When evening came, the light didn't come on, although the plug itself responded. After testing the socket with other devices, I can see that this plug did not work and is no longer working properly. The indicator light responds, but all devices connected to it are not receiving power. You may want to consider other brands for your needs. I will update if anything changes.

I have a router that automatically connects both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks to the same one SSID supported. I have devices that connect over 2.4GHz and others over 5GHz and they all use this one SSID. This plugin requires you to rename your networks so that you have one SSID for the 2.4GHz network and a different SSID for the 5GHz network. UPDATE: I called my ISP and was able to split my 5GHz and 2.4GHz WiFi network. Once I did this I was able to use the product exactly as planned. I bought two of these, one for my outdoor string lights, the other for Christmas lights last winter. Although I believe this can be used with other smart systems, maybe Google Home, Alexa etc, I just downloaded and used her app (Smart Life) and she recognized the devices straight away and was able to rename them (e.g. Back Porch Lights ) and set the schedule. I bought two packs of these and while they are pretty sturdy on the outside I was a bit worried about the water resistance at first glance, especially as I live in beautiful Washington State where it rains more than sunny lol.
