UPDATE: I called my ISP and was able to split my 5GHz and 2.4GHz WiFi network. Once I did this I was able to use the product exactly as planned. Manufacturer Feedback: Please better advertise that the product ONLY works properly with WiFi 2.4GHz. Original message: Product is unusable for me. I bought this with high hopes of controlling my outdoor Christmas lights, but the product details don't mention that you can't connect the device to the app if you're on a 5GHz WiFi network, rendering it unusable . If I could get fewer points, I would. Extremely disappointed.
