Barely lasted a year

These coil packs have a shorter shank than the original factory ones as you can see in the picture. I read complaints about it before I bought it. Note, don't worry, the shorter shank on them that connects to the spark plug doesn't compromise performance or usefulness in any way. The coil is still firmly and securely connected to the spark plugs. It's a great price for them, they work great and I'm happy with them so far. I'll definitely update if that changes. The picture shows the new shortened one on the left and the old one on the right. The shorter ones work fine on my 2002 Miata. UPDATE 9/1/21. The car started out very choppy at idle and the light started flashing while the engine was checked but it ran and I made it home. Codes: Cylinder 2 Misfire and MAF Circuit Low. I decided that one code or event triggered another. I took it off the second cylinder and because it's too short the connection to the connector in my 2002 Miata wasn't good enough and so some white stuff formed which stopped powering the connector. I replaced it with the original I removed a year earlier and the car ran great so I just removed both. They're too short and can't bond properly to the spark plugs, they last a year and then "burn out". Just give them away and buy the ones that are the right length.
