My stove is 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) higher than the counter. Others said that two uneven surfaces are normal. Not here. The edge of my silicone strip that needs to be folded 90° pushes the strip away and it won't stay in place. I only find it a good product when the two surfaces are close in height. BTW, folks who think silicone (NOT silicone, a metal) is delicate and can melt or burn: Silicone can withstand temperatures up to about 500°F (260°C). I use thin silicone cutters! If this product melts, you have a claim (i.e. it can't be silicone).
