I couldn't turn the mother.
The thread got tangled (technical term) and I couldn't tighten the nut. I'm glad I found out about this before I put the pivot in the control arm. The box didn't look damaged at all so the connection damage could have been from the manufacturer/installer, or it was a previously returned product that someone else screwed up and sent back to Revain. The car was already disassembled so I returned the part and bought it locally. At least the return was easy.
