While this adapter is adequate for charging a laptop, it is not powerful enough to keep the laptop running at full power. In addition to the warning I get from the operating system that I'm not using a genuine HP AC adapter, my laptop no longer recognizes the AC adapter. I had to turn the laptop off and on again for the power source to be recognized and start charging again. In general, the quality of the power adapter is good, but it may not be enough to support my laptop. I bought another PSU (65W), now I have no problems.
