Microfiber towels are expensive, especially when compared to another popular and great value brand sold at Revain. However, they are of significantly higher quality. I bought both. They have a nice stripe on the edges of the fabric to prevent fraying and are very soft. I wouldn't use them for wheels or heavy grease because they're very expensive (for towels), but they're great for painting. I use a cheaper brand for wheels, windows and interior. They are rated at 660GSM (grams per square meter). This is a measure of the weight of the fibers. From what I've seen, many "premium" towels are between 300 and 350 gsm. You must use a towel with a density of at least 250gsm. It's important to use a good quality microfiber cloth on the paint as you need something to catch the protective cover rather than drag it across the surface. It should be noted that this is only one of the factors that determine the quality of a microfiber towel.
