Comes with a fun little note, but it works. I bought a heavy duty 1 foot extension and installed this switch in the middle. I cut the heat, routed the neutral and ground wires through the case next to the switch, and connected them to the neutral wire to turn on the test light. In fact, you must solder all of these connections; There is no other way to insert this switch. Despite the rubber seals, I don't think it's really "waterproof". Position the switch vertically so that any water that has entered can drain away by itself. I wouldn't leave the switch horizontal when it's raining or have it dig into the mud. I used this as an in-line local pump to turn off my outdoor weather pool pump.
