Solid, weatherproof switch at a reasonable price

Comes with a fun little note, but it works. I bought a heavy duty 1 foot extension and installed this switch in the middle. I cut the heat, routed the neutral and ground wires through the case next to the switch, and connected them to the neutral wire to turn on the test light. In fact, you must solder all of these connections; There is no other way to insert this switch. Despite the rubber seals, I don't think it's really "waterproof". Good switch and case, but.

This is a good switch, quite powerful and one of the few options on Amazon. The switch is not waterproof, maybe just waterproof. If you are looking for waterproofing, it is not difficult to find edge sealing. The problem was that all the wires with connectors fit into the case. If I have to do it again I'll solder the connections instead. Also, the picture in the listing above is not correct to show the wiring; That is why I have explained the procedure below. Installs this built-in between 110V and 12V grill transformer.

I was in a dilemma with my built-in grill for a while - the on-off switch for the halogen bulbs failed after a year (with no replacement for the existing hole) so I had to unplug / unplug the transformer, whenever I wanted my grill to work. It took me so long to discover this switch. FWIW now it comes with the instructions I followed after cutting the 3 wire outdoor cable to the transformer.
