I replaced the fan on the original PS4, which was loud enough to be heard around the house, and while it was an improvement, it still hummed a bit. It works well for video streaming, but it starts to get a little noisy in some spots with high frame rates in games. If you've cleaned your PS4 fan and it's still pretty loud, it will still be better, I just haven't reset it all the way to factory quiet. 3 stars mostly because it doesn't really fit in the fan case bracket. There may have been a millimeter misalignment between the holes in the fan assembly and the pins in the fan bracket. A bit of oil eventually came out, but I had to adjust it enough that I was afraid of damaging the fan. It stayed in place after the screws were put in, but that's just something to be aware of.
