Size not listed, the seller should be ashamed

I am disappointed that the seller incorrectly advertised and sold this as a 16 inch fan. I see the fan no longer states the size in the description but that was when I bought it. I bought it with the understanding that it would be 16 inches. In the attached photos, I removed the cage cover and measured the distance from the center to the edge of the fan blade. It's only 6" tall, so it should have been advertised as a 12" fan. This fan is under $100 for actual size and the seller should offer at least a reasonable partial refund for misadvertising this product. I compared this fan to an electric fan I bought a few years ago. The electric fan (shown in black at right) was sold as a 12-inch fan. I didn't expect a battery powered fan to perform as well as an electric one, but for performance comparison a high speed battery powered fan was on par with a low speed electric fan, although I don't see the point in having 12 separate speed settings. It's just a waste as every step up or down is nominal in terms of performance. Three to four settings would suffice. I was impressed by the time the fan ran at high speed when fully charged. I ran it for 5.5 hours until it stopped and needed to be charged again. The fan was quiet, much quieter than my electric even when my electric is running at the lowest speed compared to the battery running at the highest speed. Due to the incorrect advertised size, this fan is not worth $100. Had it been advertised as a 12-inch model priced at around $50, I would change my recommendation and star rating to four stars. Unfortunately I feel cheated by this seller who could have been a decent product.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
