You will need a blade to peel them off the paper.
There are only two basic requirements for sticky letters and numbers: 1) they peel off the paper backing easily (FAIL) 2) they stick very well when you apply them (PASS) These requirements do not close mutually off. The reason they don't come off well is because the die cut was very inconsistent. Sometimes a whole letter or number was cut out correctly and came out immediately. Sometimes half of it was still attached to the surrounding vinyl. Make sure you have a very sharp X-acto blade and a steady hand to finish the cut, which the factory die should have done right.
