Review on 📚 Sauder Clifford Place Library Base with Beautiful Grand Walnut Finish by Jeanie Escobedo

I have bought quite a few Sauder items and the quality has always been good. There may be small scratches during shipping, but that's not the seller's fault. This library base is by far the worst product I have ever bought. The surface is soft and almost scratch-resistant. Chipboard is also soft. It was difficult to align both cams because the board is so soft. A piece of one corner came loose completely when just enough torque was applied to screw in the camshaft. The board does not look like the standard MDF board their products are typically made from. I just bought a coffee table last week and the boards weren't like that at all. I don't know if it was a poor quality item or if the whole collection is made of this soft board. I won't buy anything from this collection anymore. Returns are too hassle so I take some (many) wood scratch covers and cover the whole thing with a PU clear coat and maybe a few years is in order.
