At first this thermometer seemed like the perfect addition to my aquarium. It's small enough to be invisible, but at the same time the LCD is large enough to be seen from a few feet away. Batteries last a long time and install easily if you add double-sided tape. The temperature was between +/- 0.5 to 1 degree Fahrenheit so it was good enough for my application. Now after 9 months of use I have noticed that the temperature is getting lower and lower and also the sensor which is a metal rod at the end of a long wire is starting to show signs of rust and limescale. I measured the temperature with two other analog and digital thermometers and came to the conclusion that this thermometer shows 3-4 degrees less. I have thoroughly cleaned the sensor rod but the readings are still inconsistent which is now unacceptable for my saltwater aquarium so I need to find another solution. I don't like the sensor being rusty so don't think this is a good solution for aquariums, especially saltwater aquariums. The gradual decline in accuracy is an even more important reason to look for other alternatives.
