I live in a rented house and putty in my shower has been driving me nuts (they put over the mold not treated and remade). So I decided to take it upon myself to fix this after being inspired by the satisfying videos for this tool. After receiving it, I couldn't wait to get to work. Turns out this thing doesn't work with non-silicone caulk (grout). So I had to pry it out with a screwdriver and ended up having to get a grout scraper. Then, when it came to silicone sealing, I made a big mess (it's been years since I last smoothed with my gloved finger). The small triangular smoothing tips just pushed the silicone through, not necessarily where I needed it. So I finally went back to my finger and hoped I could clean up the already half-cured silicone mess with this tool once it was fully cured. And that also failed. So it could be user error or a buggy tool. Who knows. Just don't expect a one-day fix.
