I liked it. 1- For the best color that is closer to the frame, pre-lighten your hair to light blonde. They're not trying to sell you a whitening kit, they're really trying to help you get the color you see on the box as vivid as possible. 2- To get a box color that lasts much longer, use on dry hair (the boxes have a misprint saying towel dried but it should be dry), no more than 24 hours after after washing, but without products for styling. Leave it on for an hour instead of 20 minutes. It won't eat into your hair like regular hair dye because it doesn't contain the chemicals that permanent dye does. If you want an ombre effect, apply it to the roots and blend it up a bit. After 20 minutes, apply a little more to the roots and use a hairbrush or comb (with stiffer bristles) and comb, stopping about 2 to 3 inches from the ends of the hair. Then after 20 minutes repeat combing to the ends. (Option 2) You can dilute a little with any conditioner and comb through the middle of your hair, then dilute more to comb the ends without waiting 20 minutes and leave on for an hour, which also creates an ombre effect. I also used it on my roots after a light pink color to create a cool root shadow effect that helps hide root regrowth so you can go longer between highlights.
