Review on 💻 AMD Ryzen 5 2400G APU with Radeon RX Vega 11 Graphics - YD2400C5FBBOX by Mark Lodge

TL;DR: If your PC is for general use and light gaming, this is probably the best APU you can get right now. Review considering all factors (ease of use, value versus performance, and overall performance). I bought it because I wasn't willing to give up an arm and a leg for a GPU and no other AMD processor has integrated graphics processing. unit (except APU Ryzen 3). I decided to get a Ryzen 5 APU for performance as this rig will definitely do some photo editing and some video editing; no commercial projects so no threadripper can be justified. I installed this on an Asus ROG Strix B-350F motherboard that was already Ryzen 2000 capable, which was very helpful. The APU installation process is simple (just read the instructions); The only "difficult" part was installing the Wraith cooler, but that's more tedious than technical. Performance is pretty good out of the box. The APU is pretty much Ryzen 5 and GTX 1030 right out of the box (after a driver update; seriously, it's really important) and it's nice and fast. With a standard cooler and basic features, I've never seen temperatures rise above 45C and are usually in the 20-30C range. (You can overclock, but do so at your own risk, and if you overclock, make sure you buy the best cooler. Don't fry your APU because you want to be cheap.) Hassle-free games with minimal sacrifices (LoL , Heroes of the Storm, Fortnite, Overwatch etc) but if you want to play a AAA game you may need a separate card, at least a GTX 970. 4GB which you'll likely find less than $160, after that, you can run any current game with the required settings, and the recommended settings only in a few (18 out of 100; games like Black Ops 4, Battlefield 1 and 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raiders, etc.). You can still play other AAA games like AC: Odyssey, Hitman (!), Fifa 19, etc. with this combo.
