The Kitchenaid Chopper Attachment is great for chopping meat, especially if it has been partially frozen and cut into long strips. However, the Kitchenaid chopper attachment is NOT suitable for stuffing sausages. These pens are of good quality and it's not their fault. So if you use them with any other sausage filler, they will work just fine. The auger in the Kitchenaid grinder is too small and does not create any pressure when filling. I've tried this a few times and found the same problem reported all over the internet so I switched to a real sausage stuffer (hand crank) and that's the difference between day and night. so much easier.
