Cooler engine and better fuel economy
I bought this for my 1994 Impala. Once you install that thermostat and set the PCM to 180, the fans will turn on sooner. Your gas mileage is much better with a thermostat of 180. I usually program the 1st fan at around 209 and the 2nd at around 218.
