Description of CPU cooler Deepcool GAMMAXX S40, black

The cooler for the DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX S40 processor is an indispensable component of any computer that can be trusted to cool the "heart" of the system unit - the processor. Due to the large number of compatible sockets, this model can be used with a variety of motherboards and processors. The tower design of this cooler provides good heat dissipation due to the heat pipes bent upwards, passing through the plates and fixed parallel to the base of the cooling system.

The right product for me, there were no problems.

in general the cooler is very good, although at the time of writing this review I probably would have taken something from PCCooler.

Pros
  • appearance; nickel-plated tubes; not noisy (although I have nothing to compare with); price (at the time of purchase was 1.5 thousand).
Cons
  • there is little concern that he is pushing too hard on the mat. fee, because in order to install it on AM3, I first unscrewed the seat, put a cooler on it, and only then screwed in the seat; there were no mounts for AM4 in the kit, although I have AM3, I would like it for the future, because I'm planning an upgrade.

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I had a passive radiator without a cooler 2 coolers only for blowing when starting games, for example, Far Edge, where it heats up to 75, now it’s 55 degrees like crazy and the percentage is now 55 degrees with the same coolers, I think all the same, somehow stick its native fan in there and cooling will be normal

Pros
  • Cools pretty well even without a fan
Cons
  • There are no fasteners, all are standard, but due to the fact that my motherboard is not standard, I have to redo it and file it myself

In terms of temperatures, fx 6300 without overclocking is simple 25-30g, the load is not more than 60. Xeon e5 1650 is simple 40, the load is 65-75. (With the same thermal paste and test in aide64).

Pros
  • Not a high price, decent appearance, not noisy and looks adequate.
Cons
  • Among the shortcomings can be identified fan. It is not serviced, after 2-2.5 years it began to make noise (shorting, slight vibrations, hum), after which a hole was carefully drilled in the back and oil was poured there, it helped quite a bit, as a result, I still had to replace it with two 92mm fans. In addition, the complete fan has non-standard dimensions, the distance between the holes is 92mm, and the impeller is slightly smaller than that of the 120th fan, as a result, installing a 92mm fan will not be as efficient (or noisier), and the 120th is too large and it looks quite , protruding beyond the radiator (although you can attach it quite neatly). In general, I'm not sure that there is an analogue for this price, but in my opinion, it's better to look for a cooler in which you can later replace the fan with a standard 120 without unnecessary trouble (Same Gammax 400). P. S As you can see from the photo, the standard fan is disassembled according to only one principle.

How many times am I convinced that it is Deepcool that provides the most working cooler options. This model is well-developed in almost all aspects, allowing you to install a 4-tube model with an extremely serious heatsink and a high-quality fan even in a not very "fat" case (I would have got a 400th model, but still). Due to high-quality passive cooling, the fan can work really quietly and the processor temperature will be more than good.

Pros
  • An efficient "tower" format combined with a moderate size for such cooling schemes, adequate price, low noise level, good cooling, a certain amount of thermal paste was initially applied to the contact plate.
Cons
  • Even on the 1151, there were some installation problems due to the fact that it was not so easy to click the mount - it took a bit of fiddling, although in general the mounting system is quite simple.

Excellent product, the best quality.

Pros: Beautiful, easy to install on AM4 socket, dissipates heat well Some cons: Easily bending radiator plates (while installing some bent, I had to unbend)

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

I liked everything, in comparison with the aerocool, it is just a refrigerator, and the aerocole also did not cover the entire percentage. Got pros: Thermal paste is applied, cools 120w percent to 30 degrees and does not heat up above 40 Cons: The box says lga, at first I was even scared, but I opened the box and found a mount on am, so it's not just a drawback, but an unpleasant aftertaste; )

Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

I advise everyone who has a processor no more than 125w to easily install on AMD in a 185mm case. Commander gs-2 even has room up to the side panel, AMD FX 8350 CPU With its pros: It is easy to install on AMD, FX8350 stress test AIDA 64 51 degrees, price. Quiet. Some cons: Well, if only the thermal paste is not included and applied to the sole of the radiator, I did not use it, I immediately replaced it with kpt-8.

For such a price, the cooler justifies itself by 100%. I recommend replacing the thermal paste with your own. Take it, you won't regret it! Its pros: Very quiet and cools my i5 (2320) processor well. In the Witcher 3, it did not rise above 55, but 50-52. Compact and lightweight enough to fit almost anywhere. Different cons: The mount is far from super, but still I managed to put it with straight arms.

The lack of a backplate is depressing. Still, 600 grams, and if AMD has them mounted on fairly durable plastic, then the mounts for Intel sockets are made in the form of standard clips, like in boxed coolers. Only now the box does not weigh 600 grams. Is it really that hard to make a little piece of iron? Well, it would cost 200 more, so what? But there would be a strong mount to the motherboard

Pros
  • Really quiet. With my Atlon II X3 460, the rpm never rose to 1000. At the same time, the idle temperature is about 30, and 55-57 under load.
Cons
  • No backplate.

Installation on AM4 did not cause problems - it is installed on the native motherboard mount with two latches in 10 seconds. Faster I have not yet installed a single turntable. Temperatures with Ryzen 5 3600 without overclocking - 35-40 in idle and 68 in stress test.

Pros
  • Good turntable, quiet, does its job. Easy to install on AM4.
Cons
  • Two months later, the fan began to howl, I had to replace it with Arctic.

All is well, liked the product, didn't buy it for nothing.

If you collect everything from scratch, then you will probably like the clips. If everything is ready, then, I hope, you have a fairly spacious left indent from the cooler. Different pros: Everything in it is good, and it doesn’t make too much noise, and it cools perfectly, it costs a little, it’s a little bigger for someone, but just right for me. But there is one "but". Has cons: . the hell I'll never buy a cooler with those clips invented by the evil genius again. Those who wrote that it is…

Before him, there was a boxed one for core 2 duo - he couldn’t cope with xeon + howled at his last breath, that’s why he changed it. I am satisfied with the purchase!

Pros
  • The simplest installation - I didn’t even take the board out of the case, adapters for all sockets. Quiet and powerful!
Cons
  • I set it to 775 for the e5450 - a floating adapter for 3 sockets at the same time is included - you need a little skill to set the right size

The item is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

Testing: Software:AIDA 64, Linx, CPU-Z CPU:Phenom II X6 1090T@3.2GHz-fixed@ MB:ASUS M4A79T DELUXE/U3S6 RAM: 2x2Gb Samsung original/2x4Gb Crucial Ballistix elite Case:ASUS Vento TA-M2 Casecomoling: 2x12cm(Cooler Master SickleFlow Green LED), 1x14cm(AeroCool Shark Fan Evil Green Edition). Pros
  • 1. Direct contact 2.4 heat pipes 3. Size: it is just "not big" - it will fit well into narrow cases. 4. In principle, it does not look bad. 5. Quiet at maximum speed, but the valve itself makes extraneous sounds that stand out clearly from the general background. Perhaps I was just unlucky with the sample. 6. High clamping force of the mount. And the mount itself is more than successful, I liked it very much.
Cons
  • 1. thermal paste. In fact, only extremely lazy people and indifferent people do not change their native thermal paste from the cooler. After replacement, the difference is obvious: "-" 7C 2. To understand how uneven the base is, just drop thermal paste and put the cooler without smearing and fix it - after removing and looking at the print, you will not experience delight. Polishing the base actually does not smell. 3. I'm very interested in how to put the 2nd valve on it - get another shapeless "big poppy"? A stupid idea for this particular model, solely because of the design of the turntable.

Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

I advise you to buy (I took it for 1530 at the time of the review), I entered the middle tower without any problems, although there were doubts about this. Pros: a large fan, the cooler is EXTREMELY quiet, corresponds to the company. Cooling is excellent, core i5 4670, idle 29-31 degrees, does not rise above 50 under load (in synthetic tests), have not tried it in games yet Different cons: I fiddled with the installation for a long time, these Intel clips enrage me. It would be better if they…

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

I took coolmaster to replace it, because. Often under load, freezes began to occur. One more difference and advantage from the previous cooler: here the air flow comes from the front panel, where there is almost nothing in front of the cooler (two low memory sticks); coolmastera had air drawn from below, where there is a large video card. For my money (took for 1500) - the best choice

Pros
  • - 4 heatpipes, large heatsink and 120mm fan. With AMD athlon 860k (TDP = 95) it does an excellent job. - compared to the rest of the system, it is not audible, it rarely spins up to 1000 rpm.

Didn't like it very much. Installing a fan in a rather compact case (ATX Zalman Z3) was hell, with its metal bumps! on the base, he scratched the cover of the AMD 5800K processor, despite a completely normal layer of thermal paste. It cools well, considering that the AMD a10 5800k in the turbo mode of the processor and at the maximum load of the vidyuhi emits "immeasurable" heat (HWinfo writes that the consumption of 202W probably emits the same amount of heat). The truth is on the verge: 71…

Pros
  • Quiet, big, beautiful
Cons
  • Very uneven base!, inconvenient mount FM2
