Good quality, put it on and the truck is there.

The price seemed a bit high but I went and bought it. I have had no problems, good quality, put it on and the truck ran about 8° cooler. I am very happy with it.

Pros
  • The best in their niche
Cons
  • Zero

Statistics works down to low temperatures

Statistics works down to low temperatures, works up to 174 degrees at 100 degrees outside temperature. The typical temperature never exceeds 160 degrees. Disappointed with the double work to get back to OEM pace to say the least. I wanted 187 degrees, not the cold 158-174 range.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Hard to say

Ideal working temperature!

These thermostats are amazing. Excellent build quality compared to powerboat stats. I'm seeing coolant temps: 188 idling, 190-192 on the freeway, and around 194-196 during a hard burst of gas - all at 105 degrees ambient. Thanks Mishimoto for another great product!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

The stats work too cool and turn on the engine fault signal

Installed new Mishimoto Low Temp thermostats with a new radiator. Statistics runs too cold and turns on engine fault signal PO128. The engine does not warm up fast enough. The design of the thermostat is cheap, easy to bend. Place them next to stock stats and the metal will thin. I removed the stats and replaced them with new stock ones, everything is fine now. (Ford 6.4 2008) Good money down the drain.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Some trouble

DO NOT USE WITH ALUMINUM RADIATOR, TOO COLD!

Works too well with an aluminum heatsink. The pair work well when it's over 85 degrees Fahrenheit outside, but in cold weather these trucks turn on the check engine light because they're not letting the engine warm up fast enough. It's under 55 degrees outside and almost impossible to get it up to operating temperature, with normal driving it doesn't get over 170 degrees even after an hour or more of hard driving. If you have an aluminum radiator DO NOT RECEIVE THIS or your truck will freeze…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not worth the money, thermostat failed after 10,000 miles / 8 months

Replacing a thermostat isn't usually a big deal but knowing that for a 6.4 stroke engine it's a 5-6 -Hour test is so I opted for premium thermostats to avoid repeating the task anytime soon. Not only can I drive with heated seats, I spend another 5+ hours replacing them. The extra money didn't take the quality into account and I would think twice before buying this brand again.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • No power

GET READY FOR ENGINE TEST IGNITION!

After installing them on your truck, you can no longer drive it normally without a check engine light. After 1 hour of driving in 95 degree weather, the coolant only reached 165 degrees, generating an engine fault code that reads "Thermostat faulty". These thermostats prevent the engine from ever reaching operating temperature. The only time they worked was when I was towing an 11,000 lb camper to the beach. Even at 11,000 pounds, the coolant temp only reached 190. I also tow a 20 foot, 5,000…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few little things

DO NOT BUY THESE! fits spare parts

I would give no stars if possible. Never even got close to work. Low temps, engine trouble light, etc. And I don't believe stories about how you drive or what you use your truck for. S stat should open at the set temperature. They are priced just below stock and should have worked that way. My big problem is the "not" Mishimoto customer service! Take them out and send them back, then we will send new ones. RIGHT, my truck has to stand still until you send in new ones. I don't know about…

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
