Review on Digital piano CASIO PX-S1000 white by Andrey Constantinov ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

In general, the piano is VERY satisfied. It fully satisfies all my needs. Before buying, I looked at a bunch of reviews and read a bunch of reviews. There was a choice between CASIO PX-S1000 and ROLAND FP-10/30. I liked Casio's keyboard more, plus the presence of chips that Roland does not have. I chose CASIO PX-S1000 and did not regret it. As I said, what I wrote in the shortcomings are just nuances that should simply be considered before buying. As for the sound - many write that the sound is not so natural and metallic - I do not agree, although I have a hearing and am very critical of this, I like the sound of the acoustic piano "October" less. In general, a very good choice for the money, it is quite suitable for home use and training.

Pros
  • Let's start in order 1. Compact - this is currently one of the most compact digital pianos on the market 2. Design - well, it's enough just to see it live and everything will become clear. 3. The quality of the keyboard - I really like the fact that the keys are made with texture - they feel nice to the touch 4. Individual adjustment of the keyboard and sound (sensitivity, sound sharpness, etc. ) 5. Sound effects - really expand the sound and add volume. 6. Pleasant key mechanics - I tried ROLAND FP-10 (top of all reviews) and in comparison with it, CASIO has a faster keyboard, not so viscous, fast parts are played better 7. The ability to output sound via Bluetooth to the piano itself - you can turn on tracks and play along with them, or simply use them as a Bluetooth speaker. 8. Possibility of battery power - if you wish, you can use it outside the home 9. 2 headphone outputs - you can safely practice with the repeater together with headphones 10. Ability to output normal stereo sound to external speakers.
Cons
  • Rather, these are not shortcomings, but simply certain nuances that you should pay attention to before buying. 1. The keys are lighter than on a real piano - this is of course a subjective feeling, but it has a place to be. 2. The sound lacks bass - no, of course, the piano sounds quite normal, but personally I would like more bass in the sound, but here it is clear that compactness requires sacrifice to use large speakers will not work. There was an experience of using casio PX 410-R with it and I compare it, but it is 2 times thicker and more. 3. To control the functions of the piano, you will need to climb into the instructions - since there is no display and the control goes through the keys, sometimes I take the instructions to get to certain functions. 4. Recording only 2 tracks is just a nuance, if you want more then buy an older model. It is quite enough for personal lessons - you record the game of one of the hands, then turn it on and play along with the other. 5. Some headphones have background hiss - this depends on the headphones themselves. Simple plugs have a background, Sennheiser HD 201 has no background.
