This product may have been my life saver. I've been using it for 10 years. About ten years ago I became seriously ill and lost weight for unknown reasons. I'm 5'10" and weighed about 160 pounds before my illness. In the end, after I lost to 120 pounds, my doctor recommended I drink Mass Gainer Shakes, although he didn't specifically mention this product. I accidentally did Mentioned my brother-in-law who introduced me to this product. I'm so glad he did. I started drinking two servings a day and usually added a scoop of ice cream in a blender. myself with plain water, but the ice makes the drink pleasantly colder. If anything, it put an end to my nosedive weight and gradually pushed me into the low 130s, which helped me feel some relief in my condition.About a year later, I joined the gym and started lifting weights 3 times a week for at least an hour each, as well as lifting some weights at home in between. Slowly, after about a year, my weight climbed to a respectable 140 weights htlift plus is a product 2 times a day. After about 3 years, as my weight seemed stuck at 140 pounds, I decided to cut it down to one serving per day. I always watch my weight and it hasn't changed much. About a year ago I cut it down to half, 6 days a week. I train as usual in the gym and at home. My upper body has grown, especially my arms/biceps/triceps and pecs, even with a reduced 1/2 portion of gainer plus my regular scoop of ice cream in the blender. I am happy to report that in the last 6 months my weight has increased to almost the same level as before the illness. I am currently hitting the 160 pound mark. So I've been using it for 10 years in a row, and I've been lifting almost as long. When I look in the mirror I smile at the results I have achieved in this LONG time. But I appreciate this gainer product and my doctors who originally encouraged me to use something like this many years ago. I now usually drink mine in the middle of the day after a workout at the gym or at home and between lunch and dinner. Sometimes drinking it too close to dinner reduces my appetite a bit, especially in the beginning when I was drinking two servings a day. Now with half servings, loss of appetite is much less of an issue. Will I ever stop using it? Maybe, but not now. I think there is a correlation between post workout use and muscle building so I always use it at half size based on that alone. By the way, adding a scoop of ice cream in the blender not only makes it tastier and creamier, it also adds some calories and calcium (I think). The double chocolate is my favorite and the addition of mint ice cream is delicious. I find this product tastes great overall even though I just use plain water with nothing else.
