Not as good as before. Disappointed and returned
I am very disappointed in this product. I had an Andis hair straightener for about 8 years and it finally stopped bothering me. I quickly ordered this one as it resembles the one I have loved for so many years. Unfortunately the quality standards seem to have dropped a lot since I bought it 8 years ago. The straightener doesn't close completely (see photo) causing my hair to slip through when I try to use it to curl. I was hoping I just got a bad one, but the replacement I requested has the same issue. I have attached photos of both. I am returning both. If you're just using this for light smoothing, it will work fine. It gets hot fast. But I use mine to curl and straighten, so I need mine to do both.
