Review on πŸ”’ Cruiser Accessories 81200: Stainless Locking Fasteners for License Plate Frames - Standard-Stainless Star Pin by Victor Garro

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No major complaints about fasteners

Product has arrived and has performed as expected. I've used them on 2 different cars. One required using the white plastic inserts that come with the kit. The other was not meant to be plugged in and simply had holes in the bumpers. The car that used the inserts was pretty plain and simple. When removing old plastic liners, be sure to put a piece of paper or thin plastic between the paint and whatever you are using to pry the plastic liner out, otherwise you may scratch the paint. I used two methods to remove them. I used the above method on the front and then removed the inner trunk lid and just slid it out. New ones are inserted immediately. The screws for the other car that didn't use the inserts were a little tight in the holes, but if you work them out to determine their size before you attach the license plate it will be a lot easier. no problem with the included hex wrench as the top of the number plate on the rear bumper is very close to the bumper molding making it difficult to use the hex wrench. It's not the cruiser's fault, it's poor design by the automaker.

Pros
  • Stainless steel Star Pin standard locks are specifically designed to prevent the license plate frame from being removed from the car
Cons
  • Upgrades
