If you're looking for an easy replacement and expect to forget it, this part isn't for you. It's just the bushing that's the only part that fails, but you're using an existing bracket. Usually this is not a problem, I like to save money by buying a single broken part, but in this case it is very difficult. The defective part is installed in such a way that it is very difficult to remove. I've tried everything, now I'm calling Mazda to find out how to remove the old rubber and replace it with a new one. The flat rubber part should be wrapped around the bracket. The product description does not say so. When purchasing, I looked at several similar products with underwires and assumed this was an easy replacement. The delivery was fast and on time, but the goods did not come with any documents. No instructions, order list or notes. It was literally a part in a plastic wrapped parts box. I usually just throw away the paper when I order something, but in this case a little written instruction would save me hours of time. If I bought it from a parts store I could at least ask someone there. I will update this based on what Mazda tells me and whether or not the part works. Based on what I found, I should have just bought the metal bracket for another $20 to save the 4 hours I've already spent on it. Edit: After speaking to Mazda and speaking to a few stores. It's not part of the car. This part works but needs to be bent around the bracket. The rubber "leg" is actually metal wrapped in rubber so even trying to squeeze it or hit it with a hammer won't move it. The bushing will sit there and get it right, but there's a chance it could slip out of the bracket and drop that side of the motor. Edit: 2/13/13 Okay, so I didn't bother with the flex of the rubber leg. This everyday car has very little value so I took the risk of just putting the piece as is. After 2-3 months I ride it, there were no problems. The bracket design combined with the weight of the motor keeps this thing securely in place. I didn't notice any engine vibrations. 3 local mechanics called me for $1000 to fix the severe vibration and I spent that part alone to completely fix the problem. I'm adding a star to the original 3 I rated it due to the fact that the part is solid. It works for what I need it for and has saved me over $900. The lack of 5 stars is due to the difficulty I had to go through to figure out how to install what was supposed to be, partially plug and play.
