This was my set of silicone baking mats and I really liked them for baking versus baking directly on the pans which lost their non-stick properties. They are good for baking at a lower temperature of 300-350 degrees for baking in terms of non-stick properties. However, they are stained (see photo). The small purple mat was only used for baking at a lower temperature and didn't discolor as much as the others. I recently started baking some items at a higher temperature of 400-425 degrees and the staining has gotten worse (see large rugs). The red is almost black and the blue is not far behind. The description says up to 450 degrees, but I see others reporting that it's actually limited to 400 degrees, so I'm not sure if the temperature is related or not. In addition to staining, they don't clean well; They always remain greasy even after washing with hot water and dish soap. I've also tried baking soda and vinegar with no improvement. The carpets also retain the smells from the previous baking. I've never noticed this with the end product (bake fish and then cookies for example), but you definitely smell the old food. The rugs were a bit too big for my large baking pans. I ended up trimming the edges so they can lay flat. I contacted the seller through Revain for the 100% guarantee and they offered to send a replacement. Their email comes back, but they can reply via Revain messages. I will try again and hope that the problems only existed with the first order.
