I bought it when I needed to fetch a rooster, but it's been used a lot more since then. I made sure I have one with a removable tray so if I have a brooding hen I can put her in without a tray and put her on blocks to have air under her bum. It's called the Broody-Buster and it works great. If you are getting chicks from someone else and need to socialize them with your flock so they don't get pecked to death, perfect for a run or chicken coop. If I take chickens for sale, a dozen or more will do for a short trip. It's just a great all-rounder. As for adult birds, I have large breeds (Orpingtons, RIR and Barred Rock) I could probably keep two hens there most of the day and they would be fine.
