That fits the purpose.
Three problems: First, the plug is only two-pin, ie there is no grounding. I am not comfortable with having a submersible electronic component that is not grounded. Second, the wire isn't as long as the wire on the pump I replaced. Third, in my application, the water buoyancy of this pump is less than 3 feet, which is barely enough. It works well but don't expect a fountain.
